Packaging Industry Meets in Istanbul!
Avrasya Packaging Istanbul and the concurrent Food-Tech Eurasia Fairs achieved great success by hosting over 77 thousand visitors from 130 countries between October 23-26. The latest innovations in packaging and food technologies were exhibited at the fair, where over 1,200 local and foreign companies and company representatives opened stands. While the fair created an international platform for the sector, sustainable and innovative solutions were also at the forefront.
The 29th Avrasya Packaging Istanbul and 18th Food-Tech Eurasia Fairs brought together the latest innovations in packaging and food technologies with sector professionals. The fairs held at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center achieved great success by hosting a total of 77,572 visitors. In addition to 63,864 local visitors, 13,708 international visitors from 130 countries had the opportunity to closely examine the latest products and technologies in the sector. More than 1,200 local and foreign companies and company representatives attended the fair, which was held in a total of 16 halls with additional membrane structures. A wide range of products and solutions were introduced at the fair, from packaging products to packaging machines, from food processing machines to packaging printing and converting technologies.
An International Trade Platform for the Packaging Industry
Organized in cooperation with the Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) and RX Tüyap, Avrasya Ambalaj Istanbul was held with the support of the leading associations of the sector, primarily the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, as well as the Packaging Machinery Association (AMD), Label Manufacturers Association (ESD), Flexible Packaging Manufacturers Association (FASD), Cardboard Packaging Manufacturers Association (KASAD), Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MASD), Corrugated Cardboard Manufacturers Association (OMÜD) and Rigid Plastic Packaging Manufacturers Association (SEPA). The fair attracted great interest not only from Turkey, but also from European countries such as Germany, England, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands, as well as the USA, as well as Gulf countries and Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the Turkic Republics. The business meetings and agreements made during the fair, which transformed Istanbul into the global trade center of the packaging industry for 4 days, strengthened the position of the Turkish packaging sector in the international arena.
Wide Range of Products and Innovation-Oriented Solutions
While the Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair offered a wide range of products from packaging products to printing and converting technologies, the latest machinery and equipment in the fields of chocolate, milk and meat processing technologies, cold chain solutions and food safety were exhibited at Food-Tech Eurasia. Visitors at both fairs had the opportunity to closely examine project-specific turnkey solutions and innovations in the sector. The fairs attracted attention with their packaging solutions for different sectors such as food, textile, cosmetics and automotive. The "Packaging Design and Innovation Street" organized within the scope of the fair was full of innovative initiatives focusing on sustainable and creative packaging solutions. The sustainability theme was one of the most prominent elements of the fairs and offered environmentally friendly solutions to the participants.
Preparations for the 30th Year Have Already Started
While the 29th Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair ended with great interest from the participants and visitors, the preparation process for the 30th year has already started. RX Tüyap General Manager Berkan Öner mentioned the following while talking about the goals for the next year; “We completed our fair this year with a high satisfaction rate and record participation. We aim to make our fair even more magnificent in our 30th year and contribute to the growth in the sector. Eurasia Packaging Istanbul and Food-Tech Eurasia Fairs, which are the meeting points of packaging and food technologies, will continue to shed light on the future of the sector.”
